MEET THE STYLIST

For me, style and clothes became a coping mechanism and channel of self-expression as I dealt with bullying and low self-esteem from a young age. As I’ve grown into an almost-30-year old woman, I realized that there were so many other women out there who were dealing with the same issues since their own childhood. But, they didn’t have a place to turn for guidance as they navigated new chapters and transitions in their lives without losing their true authenticity. That’s why I started The Stylette and The Stylette Experience to inspire women to live their lives every day with style and confidence.

I have a wealth of experience in the retail and fashion industry, having worked with a variety of companies such as Kohl’s, H&M, Nordstrom, and Stitch Fix. I have been fortunate enough to be involved with New York Fashion Week and DC Fashion Week, and studied fashion design at Stevenson University. My experience in the industry has allowed me to hone my skills in fashion and styling—allowing me to better help my clients reach their style goals. Over the past few years, I’ve worked with countless amazing superwomen and helped them learn how to dress for the bodies God blessed them with and how to love getting dressed again!

When I was 19 years old, I gave birth to my son and I quickly learned to adapt to the circumstances of young motherhood. I had to leave my personal stylist position at Nordstrom due to my mom closing her daycare of 15 years and becoming a teacher. I’m a figure-it-out-by-any-means-necessary kind of woman so, I decided to become a stay-at-home mom to save money on childcare and tenaciously pursued my entrepreneurial dreams and the vision God placed in my heart.

Since then, I’m now a mom of two and I have grown The Stylette into a thriving platform for women to discover their signature style and feel empowered. My mission is to go beyond just clothes and help individuals embrace who they are and appreciate the unique beauty and stories that each of us possesses. I love connecting with others who share a similar story and strive to make a positive difference in the lives of those around me.

I believe that your signature style is a part of your style story that is a beautiful display of your personality and lifestyle that you can switch up and evolve just as much as your moods and life changes. Getting dressed and shopping should not feel like a stressful situation, it should be fun and simple. I have created my own styling formula, called Styleology that I use with my clients (and turned into a workbook) that teaches women how to set style intentions, find practical style inspiration, detox their closets, dress for their body, find their go-to outfit formulas and how to intentionally build their dream wardrobe.

I would love to be a part of your beautiful style journey and help you discover your signature style, build a wardrobe you adore, and teach you how to love (not dread!) getting dressed every day.
